Find Leavenworth Release Mugshots

A mugshot of a released Leavenworth County inmate may remain visible after the county jail episode closes. The Leavenworth County booking photo can appear with the sheriff’s released record, in an official inmate app, in a responsive public-record file, or in a corrections or registry system that has separate coverage. Each image belongs to a particular record. It does not show the case result, reason for release, or present custody status. Finding Leavenworth County released inmate mugshots therefore requires both photo matching and a current source check. Official government channels are the best route, and no photo gallery is hosted here.

Leavenworth Release Photo Records

A booking photograph records appearance during a specific arrest and jail intake. Leavenworth County currently publishes those images on both Current and Released sheriff roster entries. Release does not change the image into proof of guilt, conviction, or case outcome. Nor does it prove where the person is now. The related profile can show charges and bond from the booking while omitting the reason and destination for the exit.

Kansas open-records law covers recorded information and can reach an existing booking photograph, subject to exemptions, redaction, agency policy, and retention. The sheriff’s own publication practice is strong evidence that the image is an official local channel. It is still wise to use the booking number and date because one person can have more than one custody episode.

A released profile should be read beside the Current control. An old photo can remain tied to a closed episode even if a later booking exists. Compare the dates and booking numbers before connecting an image with a release event.

Photo limit: a Leavenworth County booking image identifies the displayed booking, not the final disposition or present custody status.

The correct photo source follows the custodian. A routine county-jail booking belongs with the sheriff. A KDOC record belongs in KASPER. Federal, military, and immigration facilities in Leavenworth County use different systems, and several do not offer a public booking-photo archive.

Commercial copies can remain online after an official page changes. They may be stale, mislabeled, or detached from later court action. Use them only as a lead and verify every claim with the sheriff, court, or relevant corrections agency. No commercial mugshot publisher or removal vendor is linked or endorsed.

Leavenworth Released Tab Photos

The Leavenworth County Sheriff Released tab is the best local discovery channel. Cards visibly include the photograph, name, booking number, age, booking time, release time, charges, and bond. A detail profile adds gender, race, and arresting agency. The tab sorts by release time, newest first.

The release window is unlabeled. The sheriff promises no 24-hour, 72-hour, cadence, or retention period for the feed. A photo may leave the broad list even when the underlying record still exists. Search the name and booking information before moving to a records request. For a focused review of the newest time entries, the Jail Releases: 24 Hours method explains how to calculate the rolling cutoff without mislabeling the feed.

The sheriff roster entry image shown below demonstrates the official route.

The photo supports identity matching for that booking. Read the timestamp carefully and seek the disposition field before stating why or where the person left.

Leavenworth Sheriff App Photos

The sheriff promotes an official mobile app on its website. The public listing supports inmate details and booking information, making it a sound secondary place to check an individual entry. It does not expressly promise the website’s Released filter or a lasting archive of release photos. Search the inmate section, then verify any image and dates against the sheriff web record.

The app distinction matters. An app result may show booking detail when a broad web list is hard to navigate, but that does not prove that all former inmates can be searched there. Official app access should be reached through the sheriff’s own page to avoid look-alike products.

Note: The app is a booking-detail route, not a guaranteed Leavenworth County release-photo archive.

Request Leavenworth Booking Photographs

When the image is no longer online, use the sheriff open-records request. The office accepts its online form and written requests delivered in person or by mail at 601 S. 3rd Street, Suite 2007, Leavenworth, KS 66048. Ask for the existing photograph tied to a specific custody episode. Do not ask staff to create a new summary.

  1. Identify the person by full name and add the booking number when known.
  2. Give an approximate booking period so staff can distinguish the correct episode.
  3. Request the existing booking photograph and booking sheet or release-log entry.
  4. Ask for electronic copies where available and request a cost estimate before work begins.
  5. If part is withheld, ask for the releasable part and the legal basis for each withholding.

The sheriff form lists fees for some report and media products, but it does not publish a flat booking-photo fee. Obtain an estimate. Kansas law permits reasonable actual costs and advance payment. The office must act by the end of the third business day. “Act” can mean release, denial, or notice that more time is needed, not guaranteed full delivery within that period.

For a broader release record request, the Leavenworth County release-record path explains which fields to name. Pairing the photograph with booking and release data avoids detaching an image from its custody episode.

Leavenworth KDOC Photo Channels

KASPER, the Kansas Adult Supervised Population Electronic Repository, offers a photo or thumbnail display option. It covers KDOC-associated people and programs. It is not a county booking archive. A person who only bonded out of the Leavenworth County Jail may have no KASPER record from that event. When a court committed the person to KDOC, match the KDOC number, identity details, status, convictions, and image.

The KBI and local registered-offender searches are narrower. Their photographs relate to a statutory registration duty. A registry hit can remain after incarceration or KDOC supervision has ended. It does not establish the date or reason for the latest jail release. A no-result also proves nothing about a person with no registration requirement.

The KBI registered-offender portal shown below illustrates that separate official channel.

Use the category and public fields exactly as displayed. Direct corrections to the registering agency, and do not treat the registry as a released-inmate list.

Leavenworth Mugshot Policy Details

Leavenworth is distinctive because the sheriff publishes booking photographs on the Released tab, not only beside current inmates. The photo and exact release time create a useful identity record. Yet the same profile omits the release reason, destination, and case outcome. A charge or bond line cannot fill those gaps.

The strongest statement is narrow: the sheriff roster records a release time for the identified booking and displays the associated booking photograph. To learn whether the person bonded out, completed a sentence, was transferred, or left under another order, check the district court docket and request the jail disposition. An expunged or sealed court matter may no longer be available through ordinary public channels.

Press releases and credible reporting sometimes preserve an agency image tied to a particular event. They are incomplete and may not reflect later release, dismissal, or expungement. Search by event and date, then return to an official record.

VINE can help confirm a county-jail custody change, but it is a notification service rather than a durable photo archive. The sheriff says it sends booking and release events to VINE. Preserve the alert’s time and identity data, then match the event with the sheriff booking number. Kansas courts do not send their case outcomes through that jail alert system. A delivered notice therefore adds timing evidence without answering whether a charge was dismissed, a bond was posted, or another agency received the person.

Leavenworth Expungement and Mugshots

Kansas expungement under K.S.A. 21-6614 uses waiting periods tied to sentence satisfaction or discharge from probation, Community Corrections, parole, postrelease supervision, conditional release, or a suspended sentence. The jail exit date alone may not start the relevant period. Eligibility and exclusions depend on the case. Arrest-record expungement has separate grounds under K.S.A. 22-2410.

Expungement changes government disclosure. It does not rewrite the fact that the custody episode occurred, and it does not guarantee that an independently saved copy disappears. Research found no official Kansas statute aimed specifically at paid removal by private mugshot publishers. That is a bounded research result, not a promise that no rule could apply. Do not pay or rely on an unverified removal service based on a claim made here.

Required use limit: this private resource is not a consumer reporting agency, and mugshot data may not be used for any FCRA-covered purpose.

For an official image that should no longer be public after a court order, contact the agency that controls the record and provide the order or case details. The sheriff controls its roster and booking file. The court controls its docket. KBI or the registering agency controls registry corrections. Each custodian applies its own lawful disclosure rules.
